Joseph Preston Rodgers, (Press) married Jane Starkey, daughter of Benjamin Starkey. They settled on a farm 4 miles north of Ridgway in Gallatin County. He donated 3/4 of an acre to rebuild the church that had been destroyed by the fire. The New Hope General Baptist church is still located on the site given by our grandfather.
