Clay County "Now and Then," Vol 30 Spring 2020 Number 3; pages 12 and 13 Alfred Morgan Rogers, was the seventh child of Levi and naomi Skidmore Rogers and grandson of Charles Rogers. He was a Preacher and an Historian. According to Rena Margaret Rogers Burdette, Alfred Morgan rode his old white horse "Rowdy" all over the area gathering information about his ancestors. This information he would bring to Stella M. (Perrine) Rogers who would write it up for him. Stella was a school teacher. One of the contributors of this information was Ellen (Skidmore) Rogers, wife of Elijah, who was a son of Charles Rogers...."
