DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Nathaniel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Nathaniel:

This Nathaniel Roe, descendant of John Roe of Brookhaven, NY, is being confused with a Nathaniel Roe born about the same time, but descended from David Roe of Flushing, NY. For instance, son Jonas Roe linked here is actually the son of the David-based Nathaniel. It appears the same error comes up in Ancestry.com when looking for parents for Jonas. Here is the C A Torrey ancestry document with the info about Nathaniel from David for further reference: https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/22681/images/dvm_GenMono005456-00013-0?pId=13

Also, Roe-1618 is the correct parent for this Nathaniel in Roe-688, not the currently linked Roe-690

The Find a Grave number is misstated as this Nathaniel Roe. If you look at the headstone in the photo, it shows a date of death of Feb 11 1752 at the age of 82, and the name is Nathaniel Rowe. I believe this is the stone of his father, Nathaniel ROWE, 1670-1752. I have not yet found a stone for this Nathaniel.

Roe-1474 and Roe-688 are not ready to be merged because: More data needed.
Roe-1474 and Roe-688 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicate.

I have removed the "Jr" from this profile. The Find a grave link is his son Nathaniel Jr. (1737-1789). Also, according to Long Island Surnames, Nathaniel's (1701-1789) parents are unknown. I will look for other sources to see if there is any more recent data. [1]
