== Biography == John Roe was born about 1785 in Edgefield, Edgefield, Province of South Carolina.

John married Judith Kee (Clayton) Roe (born about 1794 in Avoyelles, Louisiana, USA; daughter of James Elijah Clayton) on 30 May 1810.[1] Their known children were:

  2. Lavinia Roe (abt. 1816–abt. 1850)
  3. Nancy Ann Roe (1819–bef. 1880)
  4. Pleasant S Roe Sr (abt. 1821–abt. 1873)
