Leroy was born on April 16, 1829 in Robertson County, Tennessee.[1][2]
He married Edney Francis Rager on November 13, 1856 in Robertson County, Tennessee.[3] Oddly, there is also a marriage record for Todd County, Kentucky too.[4]
Listed in the Civil War Draft Registration on February 14, 1864 in Todd County, Kentucky.[5]
He was a Private in the Union 25th Regiment, Kentucky Infantry from 1864 to 1865 at the start of the United States Civil War.[6]
According to the 1870 Census, it looks like Leroy packed up the family at the end of the Civil War and moved to Thomas, Butler County, Missouri between 1865 and 1870.
He passed away on February 19, 1877 in Todd County, Kentucky.[1][2] Perhaps his family returned to Todd County, Kentucky around this time since both Leroy and his wife are buried in Cox Cemetery in Todd County, Kentucky.

By: Nancy Roe Hall
Date: 9/24/2004, 12:56 pm
We believe that my gg-grandfather, Leroy Teague Roe, was member of the 25th KY INF, Co. F (Union). We also believe that he was captured by Confederate forces in 1863 and had a severe case of the measles when captured. Can anyone help us?
