In the Name of God, Amen the twenty fifth day of May in ye year of our Lord 1726 I Nathaniel Roe of the Town of fflushing in Queens County in the Province of New York being weak in Body but in perfect mind & memory thanks be given to God therefore & Knowing that it is appointed for all men once to dye Do make & ordain this my last Will & Testament that is to say first of all I give & recommend my soul unto the hands of God that gave it & my body to the Earth to be buried in a Christianlike manner at the Discretion of my Eecutors and as touchibg such wordly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to belss me in this Life I give will & dispose of the same as folloeth to say after my Said ful Debts & funeral charges be paid
Item I give & bequeath unto my Loving sons William, John & Benjamin Roe & to my beloved wife Marsey Roe all my Lands meadows, Goods & Chattels, which shall be found belonging to me in the Towne of fflushing & on the Jerseys or elsewhere to be equally divided between them or survivors of them within one year after my decease they first paying the sum of ten pounds which I give to my Daughter in law Susan Price remembring I have given my son David & Nathaniel their portions already and I do farther give unto my said sons Wm Jno & Benjamin & to my wife Marsey all my Land Meadows Goods & Chattels aforesaid to be & remain unto them & their heirs & assigns forever to say share & share alike whong (?sp?) I likewise constitute make & ordain my only & sole Executors of this my Last Will & Testament & I do hereby Disallow revoke & disown all & every other former Testamts Wills & Legacies, Requests & Executors by me in any ways before this time made Willed or bequeathed ratifying & considering this & no other to be my Last will & Testment In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seal the day & year first above written Nathl Roe Signed & Sealed published pronounced & declared by ye Sd Nathl Roe as his last Will & Testment in the presense of us the subscribers viz 'Jos Thorne, Elizabeth Parmyter Thos Parmyter.
The will was proved and letters of administration granted to William Roe 2 August 1738.
