Unless proven otherwise, it may be possible that this Elijah was the same Elisha Rogers that was born in 1796 in Chatham County, North Carolina and lived in 1820 in Chatham County, likely in the Dry Creek or Pittsboro area. Before 1830 he had moved to Lawrence County, Mississippi. If anyone in the Rogers family know who this Elisha Rogers' parents were, please contact me at talmiavsladeburr1@att.net or on Elisha S. Rogers profile on this site. This specific "Elijah" has been the closest clue that I have come across thus far as to who Elisha's parents may have been. It is not proven and I have no other information to go on at this time. - Talmia S. Burr
