Biography
Irene was born in 1907, there is some confusion as to the exact location of her birth. The Rogers family is seen living in Milam County, Texas during the Enumeration of the 1910 Census, and Irene's birth place is listed, along with sister Georgia Imogene (born 1909) as "Texas". Her next youngest sister, Johnie Claud Rogers, was also born in Texas. The youngest child in the family, Nettie, was born in Benton, Arkansas.
