Biography

• A guess at the life of Sarah Rogers is as follows:
  • Sarah was born in 1763 in someplace in another county than Wiltshire (possibly Portsea Hampshire) to work as a servant for the Parham family.
  • At the age of 27 she fell pregnant to employer, George Parham (b 1761), and gave birth to Harriet in 1791.
  • Sarah and daughter Harriet continued to live in the area, probably on George Parham's estate.
  • Thomas Ransom aka John Ransom, born circa 1787, became a servant of George Parham and subsequently became partnered with Harriet.
  • Harriet's child, John Thomas, was born circa 1820 and might have been Thomas's.
• Sarah was mentioned in employer, George Parham's, will which appears to be dated 28 September 1825 (he died 1 October 1825).^[1]
