Biography

Sidney Rogers was born in 1887, eldest son of Ezra Rogers and Phebe Willis of the Gladstone district of Manitoba, Canada. His family moved to Oregon in 1895, settling finally in Malheur County. Much of the county was ranch land and consequently Sidney worked with cattle all his life. At the age of 18 he went to work for the Grant Mays Cattle Company and remained there until the company was sold in the late 1930's. Sidney operated his own cattle ranch after that.
