James registered for the WWII draft on 8 October 1945 in Delhi, Richland, Louisiana. He listed his mother as his next of kin.[4]
He passed away in 1980.[5] Burial was in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery in Delhi, Richland Parish, Louisiana.[6] His grave is inscribed: SGT US Army World War II.
James was mentioned in the obituary of his mother Annie D. Rogers on 7 September 1995 in Rayville, Louisiana, United States.[7]
