Dr. W. G. Rogers, one of the oldest and best known physicians of this city, died last night from the effects of a fall he sustained about six weeks ago, while walking along a side street. He was a native of Albemarle and was in the eighty-seventh year of his age. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Marion Wood, of this county, and two sons - Mr. William Rogers, of New Orleans, and Mr. Ben. W. Rogers, of this city.[2]
