Biography
James Henry Rogers[1] was born between 1847 and 1848.[2]
He and Susan Jane Wade were married on the 23 day of Jany 1873 at the home of Thos. Rodman in Franklin County, Kentucky, by Green Clay Smith, Minister Baptist Church. Thos Rodman and O Buckley were present and witnessed the celebration.[3]
Note: The Baptist Minister who married them may be the same Green Clay Smith who was the governor of Montana for a time. After he returned from Montana, he "was ordained to the Baptist ministry and served in a number of congregations while supporting the temperance movement. He was pastor in Richmond, Mt. Sterling, Frankfort and Louisville, Kentucky."[4]
