Manning River Times and Advocate for the Northern Coast Districts of New South Wales (Taree, NSW : 1898 - 1954), Wednesday 19 September 1945, page 2. [1] OBITUARY. - MR. W. A. ROGERS Mr. William Alfred Rogers, of 13 Kyogle street, South Lismore, died on Thursday. He was born at Euroka, Macleay River, and for a number of years engaged in a carpentering and joinery business. He also lived at Taree and Kempsey, and 40 years ago went to Lismore, where he had since resided. He is survived by a widow and four sons, Arthur (Lismore), Henry (Brisbane), Stanley (Casino), and Edwin Rogers (A.I.F.). The funeral took place on Friday at Lismore, following a service at the Methodist Church. Mrs. H. Bennett, Senr., of Taree is a sister.
