Susan Rogers was born 1847, in Brixton, Devon , England. Baptised in Plymouth 03/09/1847, the daughter of Richard and Mary Rogers.

Susan left Devon in 1876, arrived Westland, New Zealand 1877, on the Leicester, the passenger list has her occupation, as a Cook. ^[1]

Susan Rogers married Albert William Briscoe on March 17th 1878 at All Saints Church, Hokitika, West Coast, New Zealand.

They had 4 children, but divorced in 1887.
