DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Dauswell by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Dauswell:
My name is Eleanor Rogers Edmondson and I wrote the book DESCENDANTS OF DOSWELL ROGERS in 1976. This entire site needs to be trashed because only 50% of what is said is documented. The other 50% has NO documentation. People have been making up names, places, and dates ever since I wrote my book. I believe that you must prove what you say or else you can NOT say it. I have over 50 years worth of documents to back up what I say.
This Catherine Middleton Doswell is not true. I have NO documents for her name except for these three and only these three--Catherine Doswell, Catherine Moss, and Catherine Rogers.
Doswell Rogers, Sr. was born in 1736 according to the Bible. People misread the deaths and they said that he died in 1809. The real truth is that I found him on a deposition and can prove he lived in 1812 and died before the 1820 census.
People did not know apparently that there was a Doswell, Jr. He is the one who died in 1809 according to the Bible. He had no birth date. He has several deeds recorded in VA.

Write to me directly as I might not see a post.
