Ann was born in Sandsend, 1742 & baptised Ann Rogers, 23 December 1742, Lythe, Yorkshire the daughter of Richard Rogers & Mary of Sandsend, ^[1]

Ann Rogers was the first wife of Robert Hansell, they married on 7 May 1761 in Whitby, Yorkshire, England. Her daughter Anne Hansell born 1773 was not the Anne which married John Kipling, that was the daughter of Robert Hansells second wife Alice (Harrison) Hansell he married her on 19 Dec 1779.
