John H Rogers Sr youngest son Samuel had a child by Lura Elliott . This son was William T. Rogers, Sr. William T (Tommy) had a son Ralph A Rogers. Ralph did the Family Tree DNA Y-67 and upgraded it to 111 Markers. In the 67 markers he had 64-65 matches. Ralph is in the R-M269 section of Family Tree DNA Testing. His test No was 322773. Ralph has now done the Big Y of the 111 marker. He is now on a branch FTZ19045. He shares this branch with whose ancestry is that of Joseph Rogers 1771-1851 married to Dera Kittrell of Granville, NC. This line of John Rogers is test results to be the Line of William Rogers and Elizabeth Cartwright. We are still looking for the parents of John H Rogers. Many say John Rogers and Elizabeth Loy. If you find this to be true and are of the R-M269, I would like to hear from you. I have seen others who are claiming this and to be of the G section of the Rogers line. Possibly they have had a error in their work. I do know that our Ralph Rogers to be of the direct line of John Rogers. John's youngest son Samuel.
Samuel had a will made September 4, 1817 in Muskogee, OK . He left $1.00 to an unknown person (part of the name given was correct --which was William Thomas Rogers, our line) Of Polk Co. TN. Given the 64 marker hit of the 67 tested and Samuel's will of 1817, proves our line to be of John Rogers (1809-1887.).
