Though her birth record has not yet been found, Catherine is known to be the daughter of James Rogers and Mary McFatridge/MacPhedran. It is thought that she was most likely born after the family had settled in Dunbarton, New Hampshire, meaning in the early 1740s.
Catherine married Alexander Blair (1730 - 1767), the son of Captain James Blair of Londonderry, Ireland. Believed to have grown up in Londonderry, New Hampshire, of Ulster-Scot heritage, Alexander was a Lieutenant in the British Army and received a land grant in recognition of his services to the Crown[1].
A 16 April 1787 deed exposes the family relationships including the names of her four living children, namely James, David, Robert and Alexander Blair, all of Londonderry, NH at that time. Reproduced in the following reference[2], this deed deals with the sale by these four Blair sons of all interest in the real estate inherited from their "honoured mother, Catherine Blair", which she in turn had possessed "as an heir to the estate of our honored grandfather, James Rogers".
Catherine lost her husband in 1767 in a New Hampshire drowning accident. She passed away before 1787, often suggested as 1783.
