Mehitabel Rogers was born on 13 March 1686/7 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Plymouth Colony, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Twining) Rogers.

She married Nathaniel Mayo, as his second wife, on 15 March 1721/2,[3]
the son of Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Wixon) Mayo. He was born on 7 July 1681 in Eastham.[4] Nathaniel's first marriage was to Ruth Doane on 13 July 1710 in Eastham, by whom he had five children.[5][2]
Mehitable died after 16 September 1760 when she was named in her husband's will,[2] and probably after 7 September 1762 the date her husband's executor presented his account which included the widow's allowance of sundries.[6]
Nathaniel died between 16 September 1760 and 6 October 1761. The will of Nathaniel Mayo of Eastham "being under Indisposition of Body," written 16 September 1760 and proved 6 October 1761, names his wife Mehitable, daughter Elizabeth Rogers the wife of Judah, daughter Ruth, and sons John and Nathaniel, with Nathaniel as executor. Witnesses were Theophilus Higgins, Thomas Paine and Levi Higgins.[6]
John, b. 4 Oct 1725; living 16 Sep 1760. Possibly the John Mayo Jr. of Easham who m. Ruth Nickerson 1749 Harwich. Listed with the Eastham church in 1774. No known children.[2]
