Tore Jarl the Silent, son of Ragnvald Jarl, was placed in charge of Møre by king Harald Fairhair. Harald's daughter Ålov was wedded to him.[1]
Tore Jarl is not mentioned during the reign of Håkon Adelstensfostre, and probably died before Håkon became king in 935.
Thori 'the Silent' Ragnvaldsson, Jarl of More is the son of Ragnvald I 'the Wise' Eysteinsson, Earl of More and Ragnhild Hrolfsdottir.1 He married Alof Aarbod (?), daughter of Harald I, King of Norway and Gyda (?), circa 890.
