Minnie Rolff married Ernest Lasche in August 1874 in Brooklyn; she was his second wife. His parents were Ernest Lasche and Maria Bruchman. Her parents were Charles Rolff and Johanna Koch. [1] It appears they never had children before his death in 1895.
In 1910 and 1920, Minnie was living with the Von Twistern family in Manhattan as an employee.
In 1922, she applied for a passport to visit relatives in Germany and travel in France and England. She stated that she had lived in the US since 1871 and that her husband had lived in the US from 1855 until his death in 1895.[2]
In February and March 1930, a legal notice was published in local papers stating that Henry Van Twistern was asserting that he had a will for Minnie, and the court was requiring her extended family to appear in court to state why that will should not be admitted to probate.[3]This document states that William and Herman Rolff are Minnie's brothers and lists many of their children. I have not been able to figure out the connection for the following seven names in this notice:
Is this her? Sister Henrietta Kirschner, named in travel document in 1912.[8]
Death certificate names father as Karl Rolff and mother as Johanna.[9]
