Biography

David Davis /Rollins was born in 1819-1823 in Tennessee, USA. He married (1st) Rutha / Betsie Carter, daughter of Levi Carter and Elizabeth Rachel Howard, in 1841 TN. After Rutha passed He married her younger sister Rachel Carter, daughter of Levi Carter and Elizabeth Rachel Howard, between 1859 and 1863? Maries Co., MO. He homesteaded 640 acres in Dixon Missouri. in the 1880 Census he says his parents were born in North Carolina.^[1]He died on DEC 4, 1893 Dixon, Maries Co., MO., USA.

Death

He died 4 December 1893 on his farm in Dixon Missouri. He died in testate and his possessions went to entire family. I have a copy of the will. V. Rollins Schleicher Most everyone deeded their portions back to Shelby Rollins Davids Son. It took quite a few years as the children from both Rutha (who were mostly in Indian territory Oklahoma) and Rachel's clan stayed close to home.
