In 1664, he was thirty - two years old and single. He escaped in 1680 with his wife and four children, and was described the following year as forty - six or forty - seven years of age, married, a native of New Mexico, and ill at this time with "frios." He was slender, with a turned up nose, and somewhat deaf. This family returned with the Reconquest.
New Mexico History
Pueblo Revolt, August 10, 1680 (Age 45 years), Nuevo México, Nueva España.[5]
Text:
Four days following the attack of Pueblo Indians, the survivors of the Spanish settlements of the Rio Abajo region were camped at Isleta Pueblo where a general account of the recent traumatic events were recorded. The group proceeded southward to the Pueblo of Socorro where they found the Pueblo Indians to be peaceful and apparently not privy to plans to attack the Spanish citizens as organized by the northern Pueblo people. Under the guidance of Captain Alonso Garcia, the various military leaders gave their opinion on the course of action to follow. The council of Military leaders including Francisco Romero de Pedraza, agreed to seek a place of safety by traveling further south in retreat.

Romero-1539 and Romero de Pedraza-4 appear to represent the same person because: The last name of Romero de Pedraza seems to have followed through from Matias Romero's marriage to Isabel Pedraza. The Romero de Pedraza profile seems to be more complete and accurate than the Romero-1539
Romero-118 and Romero-224 appear to represent the same person because: Even though the dales for birth are different and one is suppose to be birth in Mexico instead of New Mexico, I think they are the same.
