Elizabeth was born in 1797 in Pilling Lancashire, England.
On July 23, 1823, Betty (age 26) of the parish of Woodplumpton, Lancashire, England, married Thomas Sandham, husbandman of the parish of Lancaster, age 24. Together they had eight children.
In the spring of 1842, Thomas and Betty sold their possessions and set out to cross the ocean on the ship, Charlotte with their eight children, after Betty's brother James Ronson had convinced them to make the voyage. It was a difficult crossing taking a month longer than the usual time period. Once in Canada, life was difficult but with continued hard work the family began to thrive.
Elizabeth Ronson passed away March 20, 1868. She was buried in the Delhi Cemetery in Delhi, Norfolk, Ontario. Eleven years later her husband passed away and was also buried in the Delhi Cemetery. Sadly, Elizabeth's gravestone has been knocked over flat to the ground.
