Arie was baptized on 31 January 1703 in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York, recorded as the child of Evert Roosa and Tit Van Etten. Baptismal sponsors were Allert Roosa and Pieternella Van Etten. On that same day they also witnessed the baptism of Allert, the child of Oosterhout and Ariaantje Roosa.[1]
Ary Roos, Jr., married Geesjen Oostrander on 9 February 1722 in the Kingston Dutch Church. They had registered banns on 21 January. The record indicates that both Ary and Geesjen were born in Horly (i.e., Hurley) and were living there.[2]
