Biography

Henrik was the second child of Håkan Roos and the oldest sibling from Håkan's second marriage. Henrik was given the same name as his older half-brother who had passed away from cholera 3 years earlier.

Henrik left home in 1875. From 1875 to 1880, he was an apprentice to the carpenter Anders Nyman (his maternal uncle) in Landskrona. In 1880, Henrik moved to Stockholm, and in the 1880 census he is unmarried, living in Stockholm, and working as a journeyman carpenter. He was still in Stockholm in January 1883 when he moved to Lilla Bryggargatan in Hedvig Eleonora parish. He passed away in September that year, at age 23. The cause of death was recorded as chronic bilateral pneumonia. He was buried on September 12, 1883. He did not marry.
