Walter L. Ross was born in July 1923. He was the son of Alex Ross and Verna DeWitt. He grew up on his parents' farm in Rockefeller Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania,
He passed away in November 1950 at age 27. The cause of death was a gunshot wound to his abdomen after the gun accidently exploded.[1] He was buried in Millers Crossroads United Methodist Cemetery, Sunbury, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.[2]
