Biography

Mary Ross, daughter of William Ross and Hannah Hungerford, was born on 21 May 1700 in Westerly, Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. [1]

Mary was wed to Daniel Peckham on 11 February 1720 in Westerly, Rhode Island.

Mary Ross Peckham died on 19 February 1768.

Geopolitical-Historical Note

Kings County was created from Providence Plantations in 1729. It was renamed Washington County on 29 October 1781 in honour of General and President Washington.
