Biography

David Ross is Notable.

"David, the famous tragedian, born 1st May 1728. When a boy at Westminster he offended his father, who disinherited him, leaving him a shilling to be paid yearly by his sister (if he claimed it) on May 1st [his birthday], to remind him that he had better not have been born. He died 14th September 1790, buried in St. James's Churchyard, Piccadilly, Having Married the actress Fanny Murray, who died 2d April 1778."^[1]

16 years after the death of his father, Ross succeeded in contesting his father's will.^[2]
