Absent Profile Manager

Third request to join Trusted List sent. Private messages have also gone unanswered.

Profiles in this tree are a match to my own and I am unable to correct Profiles that were identified by the surname "UNKNOWN" due to a known GEDCOM upload glitch.

As you go farther back in your tree, it is a good idea to do a search first to see if you have a match already created on Wiki Tree before creating a new profile. And keep in mind, if you do find a match, odds are the manager is also related to that person and probably you!

Under My Wiki Tree (on of the links at top right) select G2G PROFILE. You can browse/ask/answer questions. You can also "tag" them by topic. I am a mentor, so let me know if you have any questions! If you need to describe an event, an heirloom, or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

Estimate if you aren't sure about birth or death dates. By doing so, your searches provide more opportunities to expand your branches. I have been interested in my family's history for over 40 years and have collected many photos and artifacts from family members. Since I retired a few years ago I have been able to devote more time to this project and, because the on-line information is becoming so vast, it has made research so much easier.
