Congratulations you've been a WikiTree member for a month! We're glad you're here a few tips to help you dive in even deeper
Check out Beyond the Basics of WikiTree for a guide on some of our more advanced features such as Projects, Categories, and Merging
We're very active on our social sites and we have an excellent blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community
And we're always looking for volunteers to assist in different ways
As you go farther back in your tree, it is a good idea to do a search first to see if you have a match already created on Wiki Tree before creating a new profile. And keep in mind, if you do find a match, odds are the manager is also related to that person and probably you!
Also, a great place to ask specific question is on G2G. Under My Wiki Tree (on of the links at top right) select G2G PROFILE. You can browse/ask/answer questions. You can also "tag" them by topic.
I am a mentor, so let me know if you have any questions! Nae
Hi! I'm Lianne, a WikiTree mentor. I hope you're enjoying our site! Our primary mission is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well!
You may want to check out How to use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide to get you started.
We also have a help index, which lists all our help pages. And there's also the G2G forum, where our generous members are happy to answer questions.
It's a pleasure to welcome you to WikiTree. You now have full access to all the features of WikiTree.

Please add quality sourced information to your profiles which is extremely important. Estimate if you aren't sure about birth or death dates. By doing so you searches will be more productive and helping expand your branches.
Also, this aids WikiTree Arborists in finding duplicates. *Most importantly check for duplicates before adding new profiles.*
Feel free to contact me if you need any assistance. Thanks for your desire to help us improve our mission!
Regards,
Michelle

There is a great question to review on G2G regarding duplicate profiles and merges. See: http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/51703/behind-merges-identifying-lowest-numbered-profile-correct
