Biography

Isabel (Isobella/Isobell) was born in Burntisland, Fife, and christened on the 29th November 1702; the child of David Ross and Isobel Angus. [1]

John Kynneir and Isabella Ross were married on the 4th May 1724 in Burntisland, Fife, Scotland. The parish record reads for Saturday Feb. 8th 1724, Contracted John Kynneir with Isobell Ross both in this parish payed in their consignation money and 12s. to the poor and after their proclamation of their banns were married the fourth day of May 1724.[2] John Kynnier was a shipmaster in Burntisland, Fife. [3]

Isobel Ross died in 1774; the Commissariot Record Of St Andrews Register Of Testaments 1549-1800 records the date of 3rd March 1774 in Burntisland, Fife; the widow of John Kinnear, shipmaster in Burntisland. [4]
