Biography

Rebecca was born about 1822 after her parents removed from Arkansas into Louisiana. She married on 31 Jan 1841 in Natchitoches Parish, LA to McCauley Franks and they were the parents of at least 5 children. She was living in January 1855, but was gone by 1860. She is said to be buried at Clear Lake Cemetery.

**some researchers have assumed that there was another William other than William M who was born 1835. No record has been found of an older William. After careful examination of the original document it can be noted that every child in the document was identified by first and last name. Since there was no surname added behind the so called older William (see**) as all the others were named, and since there was no punctuation between the two, I have concluded that the child Rebecca was called William Rebecca or Willia Rebecca. …..
