Isaac Newton Ross was born on March 19, 1854 in Kentucky, United States, son of James A. Ross (1825–1860) and Mary Ann Millet (1823–~1918).^[1]

Isaac married Julia Ann Phenix (born on November 3, 1857; daughter of Andrew Jackson Phenix and Frances Rebecca (Clark) Phenix). Their son was William Lee Ross (1892–1981).

In 1860, Isaac N (6) was in the household of Jannes A Ross. ^[2]

In 1880, Isaac (26) was living in Precinct 3, Anderson, Texas. ^[3]

In 1900, Isaac (46) was living in Justice Precinct 3 (election precincts 7 & 20), Anderson. ^[4]

Isaac died on February 16, 1909 in Elkhart, Anderson, aged 54. He was buried in Ferguson Cemetery.^[1]
