Alice's marriage notice says that Joseph Emmett Hertz was the manager of the Armour Beef Company branch in Syracuse and "they were united in marriage at 4:30 Wednesday at the residence of the bride's parents, No. 45 Arsenal street. The interesting ceremony was witnessed by relatives and friends to the number of 40."

Alice's marriage announcement to Fred James was first published in a Portland newspaper; mentions that she was Mrs. May Ross Hertz formerly of Watertown, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Ross of Watertown, a well known family, and that Frederick Alfred James was of Philadelphia.
Alice is buried in Brookside Cem., Watertown, NY.
