Found details of a John Charles Ross (died 14 May 1977) born 30 Dec 1914 to Thomas George Ross and Maud Isabel Huscroft in Canyon, BC which is only 8km from Creston BC - which is the place George Thomas Ross last lived before leaving Canada for the US in 1914 (possibly March). Creston was not a village until 1924 and in 1914 only had a 2 room school and 175 men joined the Army from their in 1914.

The small size and similarities in name indicate a relationship between the Ross families. Maybe a cousin as they were only 4-5 years apart in age.
