Biographical Information from FAG
According to the Passenger and Immigration Index, John was born in 1730, while other sources give close variations. Sources also disagree about where John was born- Ireland or Scotland. John was likely the son of William Ross (though not named in his will). The two sailed together from Ireland to Fredericksburg, Virginia in 1746, and whether a son or not he lived with the Wm Ross family near the south branch of the Potomac river.

Ross-26530 and Ross-8489 do not represent the same person because: I'm not at all sure on the specifics of my John Ross so I think it's too soon to merge.
Ross-26530 and Ross-8489 do not represent the same person because: I'm not sure about the spouse either which is why I deleted her from my John's profile. Also, the name is not that uncommon and these two individuals died in different years and places. I don't think we can assume they are really the same person yet with no concrete sources to verify that.
