George Ross was a music teacher. His daughter, Alice Ross, who married my grandfather Joseph Knotts in 1907, taught piano in Council Bluffs, IA, up until fall of 1907 when they moved to Lafayette, OR. Alice continued playing piano until her death in 1938. She taught her son, my father, "Ross" as he was known, to play piano.
