He passed away in 1933 and was interred in Maple Grove Cemetery, Sweet Valley, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
The death of John Wilbur Ross 82, occurred on Saturday at the home of his son, Fred Ross at Pond Hill, after a lingering illness of complications. He was a former resident of Ross Township, Luzerne County. Mr. Ross was a member of Junior Mechanics for many years. Surviving are five children, Floyd and Fred Ross, Pond Hill; Mrs. Cally Hontz, Mrs. Hugh Dyke and Mrs. Otto Ball of Wilkes-Barre, and ten grandchildren. A short funeral service will be held at the home of his son, Fred Rose, at Pond Hill, at 1 on Tuesday afternoon. Further services will be held at 2 in Maple Grove church. Burial will be In Maple Grove cemetery.--Wilkes-Barre Times Leader, September 25, 1933.
