Shirley Mae Tansey, nee Rowden, 70, Greenville, Ohio, formerly of Union, passed away Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at her residence. She was born June 15, 1940, in Union, the daughter of the late Clyde Rowden and wife Helen, nee Scharwarth.
Mrs. Tansey was a nursing assistant for 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Rowden.
Mrs. Tansey is survived by her husband, Alfred "Bill" Tansey, Greenville, Ohio; her daughters, Debra Anthony and husband Jeff and Diane Cox, all of Greenville, Ohio, and Becky Thompson, Willamsburg, Ind.; her sisters, Beverly Wilmesherr and husband Gary, California, Mo., and Norma Hanneken and husband Carl and Margie Manhart and husband Charles, all of Union; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service was held Friday, Nov. 19, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
