Biography

Beryl was born in Boulder in 1923 the second of 5 children to Clarence and Hilda

She reportedly married firstly Raymond Hawke in 1940 but there is no record of this on the W.A. BDM register so it may have been common law. Beryl is referred to as Mrs Hawke in the obituary for her father, Clarence in 1944 [1] and Raymond Hawke married an Eve Thrill in Kalgoorlie in 1947. This may or may not be correct however it fits in the timeline with the marriage recorded for Beryl Chesson Hawke to Owen Morris in Perth in 1946[2]
