Melvin married Emma Allen Wyman, a widow, on 15 Apr 1893 in Maine. [1] He was her second husband. She was an Allen by birth, then married Charles Wyman, who died in 1889.
In 1900, the couple was living in Somerset County, Maine.[2] The household included Emma's son Alton from her previous marriage, and step-children, Ethel, Vera and Frank Davis. By 1910, Melvin and Emma had two sons together - Leroy and Verne. The family was living in Palmyra, Somerset, Maine. Melvin was a farmer.[3]
Melvin passed away in 1939. Burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Augusta, Kennebec County, Maine.[4]
