Biography

Abraham was born in 1750 and is the son of Gasper Roland and Mary Hunsaker. He died in 1815.

Note: birth and death locations differ from stated sources as does the name of first son

Abraham was the son of Gasper Roland and Mary Hunsaker. On November 20, 1770, Abraham purchased the land his father had sold to Abraham Weltyin 1766 from Abraham in Fredrick County, Maryland. In 1773, Abraham Roland and his wife Catherine, sold the same place to Andrew Wolfe. The 1800 Census of Ash County, North Carolina, listed Abraham as having one small girl in the household. An Andrew Roland with 3 small boys and one small daughter was also listed. Joseph had one small son and one small daughter at the same time in Ash County. These two, Joseph and Andrew were of some relationship but what was unknown. Joseph (Joseph Roland born 1790, Ash County, Kentucky), son of Abraham and grandson of Gasper, was the executor of Joseph Roland's estate, of Warren County, Kentucky, son of Gasper Roland, in 1810.

Rowland-819 and Rowland-628 appear to represent the same person because: Now set as brothers with same approximate birth and death. Spouses, spelled differently, also represent the same individual.
