Biography

Patience Ruggles was born at Roxbury, Massachusetts Bay, on the first day of February, 1689, a daughter of Samuel Ruggles II and Martha (Woodbridge) Ruggles.

James Robinson and Patience Ruggles announced their intention to marry on June 6, 1711, in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.^[1] They were married on July 3, 1711, in Roxbury, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.^[2][3]

The couple made their ultimate residence at Hardwick, in the western reaches of Massachusetts Bay. Patience died there in January of 1768, having survived her husband by half a dozen years.
