Richard Runciman, 79, died at 8 o'clock this morning at the home of his son, R.R.Runciman, 2211 Oxford street, after a six months period of illness, the last three weeks being confined to his bed. His wife died four years ago. He formerlly lived in Austin, coming to Rockford after his wife's death. The son is the only surviving relative.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock at Louis Marsh undertaking rooms 115 South First street, the Rev. Wm. H Fulton, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home cemetery, Forest Park.

Obituary: 23 Oct 1927, Rockford, Winnebago County, Illinois USA. Rockford Register 10/23/1927 Richard Runciman, 73 years old, died Saturday morning at 8 o'clock at the home of his son, R. R. Runciman,2211 Oxford street, after an illness of six months. He came to Rockford from Austin, Ill., four years ago following the death of his wife. The son is the only immediate surviving relative. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the marsh undertaking rooms, 113 South First street, the Rev. W. H. Fulton officiating.
