William Williams Sr. married an Elizabeth Jacobs Runnels in North Carolina before moving to Henry County, Alabama, then subsequently to Texas. The Elizabeth of this profile stayed in Mississippi, and lived until 1912. William's wife does not survive him; she does not appear in the 1860 U.S. Census for Polk County where William and their children settle in Texas.
