Biography

Johann George Rupp was born on August 11, 1721 in Wimmern, Bas Rhin, Lower Alsace, Heiliges Römisches Reich, son of Ulrich Rupp (1695–1751) and Margareta Holtzin (1699–1739).

Johann married Maria Ursula Von Petersholtz (born on August 17, 1722 in Rabschwiern, Zweibruecken, Upper Alsace, Germany). Their son was Johannes Rupp (1730–1783).

Johann (28) married Maria Ursule VonPeterholtz (27) (born on August 17, 1722 in Ribeauvillé, Haut-Rhin, Alsace, France; daughter of Jean Henri Von Petersholtz) on January 23, 1750 in Ribeauvillé, Haut-Rhin. Their children were:

In 1800, Johann was living in Maccongie, Northampton, Pennsylvania. [1]

Johann died on September 13, 1807 in Ruppsville, Macungie Township, Northampton, United States, aged 86.
