Mary was born in 1872.

Mary married William Franklin Kepner (1868-1941)

Mary passed away in1945 and is buried at Burial Mount Olivet Cemetery Fairview Township in York County, Pennsylvania, USA.[1].

Notes

Elverda Mae Kepner was adopted by her grandparents, William F. and Mary Eliza Russell. Her birth mother is Mary Ann Kepner Myers. 1892-12-20 died 1969-01-24. She was raised as her mother's sister along with Martha V Kepner, Moorehead, Esther Kepner Brunhouse. Elverda's kids called her birth mother Grandma Mary who was married to Norman Edgar Myers,( Daddy Red) They had 2 children, Elverda's half sister and half brother. Jean Myers Miller married to Lenard Miller. Notes for Marlin R. Myers.


The Evening News , Harrisburg, Pa. St.Louis. The remains of five Navy men, including Petty Officer 2?/CL. Marlin Myers, Mechanicsburg, Pa who died in a 1944 plane crash over New Guinea, will be buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Friday at 10:00am.

Relatives will be flown to the special burial ceremony and the Navy will supply special escorts.

Myers, a native of York, Pa., entered the Navy shortly after his graduation from York High School in 1942, He was a crew chief on the aircraft that crashed over New Guinea en route from Australia to the Admiralty Islands during WWII. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs Jean Miller, and Mrs. Elverda Walter both of Mechanicsburg, Pa.

The Navy and the 17 men aboard the plan were reported missing during the rest of the war and were listed as presumed dead in 1916.

The wreckage was discovered in Oct., 1970, when a civilpatrol spotted it in a remote area of New Guinea. Twelve of the crewmen were positively identified. The remains of the other five were never differentiated.
