DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Abraham by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Abraham:
Completed merge cleanup. The only thing left hanging is Edward - I have found nothing, except the undocumented Geni listing, on a child of Abraham & DInah's named Edward. The dob given is Abigail's - 26 Jan 1729/30. Possibly a twin who died young?
For example I tried "Abraham Russell; b 1706, Massachusetts" at family search & got three:
b 9 Mar 1706 in Dartmouth, b 9 Mar 1705 in New Bedford, & b 19 Mar 1705 also in New Bedford. all with a father named Joseph. All three have 'original' records that are transcriptions the two from New Bedford are clearly the same family, the other may be.
This file was apparently created from information on Geni and orphaned. I adopted many Lapham & related files after starting the one name study in 2018. I tried to add some kind of documentation where there was none, and am now going back to improve them one at a time. I guess it is this ones turn.
Russell-16799 and Russell-10994 appear to represent the same person because: These are clearly duplicate - one has correct parents, the other the correct spouse. Birth date is 1706. Child Rachel is also duplicated.
